Luminex® xMAP® is a technology for analyzing multiple biological analytes in a single sample. The process is similar to ELISA, but it has the advantages of greater sensitivity, and the ability to detect up to 80 analytes (proteins, nucleic acid, polysaccharides) in a single multiplex assay. This assay can be performed on a 96-well or 384-well microplate, allowing for high-throughput analysis.
Gnome utilizes this Luminex® technology for various applications such as quantitative protein detection and gene expression, where multiplexing would be advantageous for understanding complex processes.
